Each year, the Fashion and Apparel Studies Department offers a unique opportunity for high school junior and seniors interested in exploring our majors:
Fashion Merchandising and Management is grounded in core business fundamentals as well as textiles, computer competencies and communication classes. A Business Administration minor is embedded in the major.
Fashion Design and Product Innovation focuses on key foundational design skills such as pattern making, draping, technical design and sewing coupled with business, trend forecasting, art, and textile courses. The breadth of courses cast a wide net for students to succeed in a wide variety of career pathways.
Prospective students will meet our faculty, tour our department, participate in workshops, interact with current students and learn more about the many opportunities our programs provide. It is a great time for high school juniors and seniors to sit with our current students and ask questions about our department, the University of Delaware, and college life!
The Fashion Open House is normally scheduled each year in the Fall. Check back to our website for the specific day and time as well as registration information!
If you would like information prior to our Fashion Open House, we can set up a zoom session to discuss our majors, minors and more!
