Episode 42 - "Sustainability in the Fashion Curriculum"

Professor Kelly Cobb, Megan Blissick, Nelly Born, Dipti Bhatt, Chloe Iturralde, Jillian Silverman

In episode 42, Kestrel Jenkins connects with Professor Kelly Cobb and five of her students at the University of Delaware including: Megan Blissick (Master’s student in the Fashion and Apparel Studies program), Nelly Born (undergraduate in Fashion Merchandising), Dipti Bhatt (first year graduate student in the Fashion and Apparel Studies program), Jillian Silverman (first year graduate student in the Fashion and Apparel Studies program), and Chloe Iturralde (undergraduate in Fashion Merchandising & Interactive Media).

This conversation was born out of a slew of emails that rolled into Kestrel's inbox from students in one of Kelly Cobb's classes. Their assignment was to listen to Conscious Chatter! In this chat, Kestrel learns about Kelly's work in the development of a global sustainable fashion curriculum and product development research in collaboration with Reebok. Also, Kestrel gets the chance to connect directly with these fashion students to hear their thoughts on the status of the fashion industry and their hopes for its future.
