On Thursday, August 11th, the Fashion and Apparel Studies Department 2017 Summer Scholars presented their research in both oral and posters sessions at the University of Delaware ISE Lab. They each had a Faculty Advisor for their project and was mentored by Jillian Silverman, a Graduate Student also in the Fashion and Apparel Studies Department.
Hannah Young, Fashion Merchandising, presented her research on the SnuggleTime Garment - Kangaroo Care in the NICU. Hannah's faculty advisor was Abigail Clarke-Sather.
Eleanor Born, Fashion Merchandising, presented her research on Developing an On-Campus Sustainable Fashion Pop Up Shop Experience. Eleanor's faculty advisor was Kelly Cobb.
Jillian Luetje, Fashion Merchandising, presented her research on Communication of Social Responsibility in the Apparel Industry. Jillian's faculty advisor was Sheng Lu.
Katherine Kornienko, Fashion Merchandising, presented her research on The Impact of Psychological Cognitive Dissonance on Apparel Product Returns. Katherine's faculty advisor was Hye-Shin Kim.
Soraya Force, Apparel Design, participated in the poster session presenting her research on Guatemalan Textiles: Opportunity and Innovation in the 21st Century. Soraya's faculty advisor was Kelly Cobb.
Caitlyn Dyes, Apparel Design, participated in the poster session presenting her research on Functional Designs for Teens with Cerebral Palsy. Caitlyn's faculty advisor was Michele Lobo.
