    Biography

    ​Mary Hopkins is a Strategic Marketing Leader at W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc. with responsibility for strategic marketing and planning within Gore’s Consumer and Technical Fabrics businesses, focused on defining sustainable and differentiated performance in our next generation of products. Co-incident with a move to Shenzhen, China in 2012 Mary will also be working on strategic marketing plans in support of target market growth in China and other Asia/Pacific countries. These roles includes market opportunity analysis, portfolio assessment, market segmentation, value chain and competitive analysis, and development of product marketing strategy and positioning. Mary joined Gore in 2005 as a Product Specialist on the U.S. Military team within the Fabrics Division. Prior to joining Gore, Mary worked as a Global Business Director at Invista (formerly DuPont Textiles and Interiors), focused on intellectual property and technology licensing, sales and acquisitions. She gained expertise to be successful in this role after many years of global business and marketing leadership in several of DuPont’s fiber and intermediate businesses, including Nylon, Specialty Polyester, Lycra® and Adipic Acid. Mary got her start in the Defense Electronics industry at IBM, after receiving a degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Virginia Tech.
