Fashion merchandising student named Cotton Inc. ambassador

After submitting an entry to become an ambassador for Cotton Inc. at the University of Delaware, Fashion Merchandising major Julia Frense (2015) was ecstatic to learn that she had been chosen!  Her prize was the opportunity to work as an Ambassador to promote the Cotton University website by implementing the marketing plan portion of her submission on the UD campus, in exchange for compensation equal to $1,500.

Julia’s winning idea was to host a carnival – complete with a DJ, food and student volunteers who were knowledgeable about Cotton Inc. and its mission.  The event was held in the Perkins Student Center and attracted a large number of students from all majors and interests.

One of the goals of the carnival was to have students and faculty create an account on the Cotton University website as well as excite participants with the information and other resources available on the site.  Needless to say, the event was a success.  Julia’s creativity, entrepreneurship, and dedication enabled her to attain this achievement and represent both UD and Cotton Inc. in such a positive light!
